What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
A CSA is a model of food production and distribution that directly connects farmers and eaters – people buy shares in a farm’s projected harvest in advance and for a set period. Being part of a CSA is a way for eaters to share with the farmer the costs and risks of farming as well as the bounty. As a community, we can choose who we want to grow our food, how it is grown and who benefits.

What is the bounty I’m funding?
At The Patch Organics, we grow certified organic and biodynamic veggies, pasture-raised and organic meat chicken, and regularly hold education courses and workshops on farms to increase community resilience. Your CSA share will directly go towards the market-garden enterprise. Your share will go towards making the market garden sustainable - covering the costs of the harvest, paying worker wages, and providing a reasonable margin.

Who grows our food, how is it grown and who is benefiting?
We are a family-owned business on a journey to live more connected, sustainable and purposeful lives. We grow our veggies using permaculture principles to ensure that we are regenerating our soils and enlivening our ecosystem. We use biodynamic practices to positively energise our food and increase our community's capacity for regeneration and connection. We plant a diversity of plants in the ground (not all crops) to create a harmonious and balanced habitat for everything to thrive. When we cannot supply diversity in our boxes, we will source it from our trusted fellow local farmers and pay full price so that more than one farmer benefits. We aim to create a community that is resilient via localised and circular economic models.

All CSAs include a family day tour of our market garden over the school summer holidays.

FAQs

DO YOU DELIVER TO MY AREA?

Most likely, YES! We partner with a third-party courier company that delivers to 96% of Australian addresses. Local deliveries in Bellingen and across the Coffs Coast are handled by our trusted local partners

WHAT SETS BELLO BEEF APART FROM OTHERS LABELED AS "GRASS-FED"?

Bello Beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, meaning our cattle graze solely on pasture without any grain supplementation. This ensures superior taste and quality compared to products labeled as "grass-fed" that may still include grain finishing.
